<span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">The incumbent will lead in the definition and development of the solution, architecture, design, requirements and specifications for a hub platform that will inter-connect platforms from other players so to provide a central consolidated service for the users.

<span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">The incumbent will work closely with the platform players, software developers and vendors to ensure the solution and architecture design are well defined end-to-end.  He or she will have to work with different stakeholders and navigate complex technology standards while achieving demanding milestones in the development of the hub platform.

<span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">The incumbent requires to have knowledge and experience in designing microservice and container-based applications and the related cloud-native environment and development practices.  He or she will have software design and development expertise, as well.

<span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">The incumbent needs to have a well-developed problem-solving capability, strategic thinking and good experience in telecommunication network and IT related architecture and development. He/she will have to demonstrate that they can manage vendors and different stakeholders to deliver against demanding milestones.  He/she will have the right combination of knowledge of key enterprise architecture principles, deep technical understanding, combined with an understanding of business and organisational needs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Define and develop the architecture, design, requirements/specifications for common API and information model that exposes end-to-end platform services/capabilities.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Define and develop the architecture, design and delivery approach that enable agility and cost effectiveness in implementation and handling changes.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Develop the architecture, design, requirements/specifications and govern the development of the hub platform.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Architect and design applications based on microservice approach, to be deployed in container environment, with automated build, test and deployment (Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery)
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Collaborate and leverage from other domains on design, practices, methodologies, tools, analytics and others.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Work with teams across different domains and manage stakeholders at Director and VP level
     

The Ideal Candidate should have/be:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering    
  • 10+ years’ experience in the field of IT/telecommunication and software related development    
  • Knowledge of microservice architecture and design
  • Understand the automated Development Pipeline, with their toolset
  • Understand the overall telecom environment – BSS/OSS, telco services, and their challenges
  • Development of large scale software, in particular in the Solution/Architect role  
    • Enterprise Architecture
    • SDN/NFV
    • DevOps, such as TDD practices and tools for CI/CD
    • Containers and cloud deployment
  • Proven experience in managing multiple stakeholders, in particular at Director and VP level
  • Managed technical teams
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skill, working independently is essential
  • Project mgmt., managing timeline and budget
