The Solution Designer (Finance) is responsible for supporting the strategy, governance, and evolution of financial systems across the Singtel Group, with a primary focus on SAP S/4HANA and related platforms.

This role partners closely with Finance stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into scalable solutions, and deliver systems that drive business value. The incumbent will oversee project delivery, ensure operational excellence, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, flexibility, and long-term sustainability. The role also contributes to IT architecture and design standards, ensuring financial systems are secure, well-governed, and aligned with industry best practices.

The SAP S4HANA modules in scope are mainly SAP FICO (CO-PA, CCA, PCA, PS, AP, AR, AM, GL, RE-FX, SL) and SAP BPC.  Non-SAP applications include Sungard AvantGard Treasury, and CCH Tagetik EPM tool.

 

Make an Impact by

 

  • Drive domain ownership of financial systems, ensuring alignment between IT strategy and business objectives
  • Support the development and execution of a multi-year roadmap for financial systems across the Singtel Group
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide expert recommendations and solution design
  • Lead end-to-end project delivery, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Ensure systems and services meet agreed SLAs while driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage outsourced Application Managed Services (AMS) teams to ensure effective support and service delivery
  • Establish strong stakeholder relationships through regular engagement and consultation
  • Contribute to IT architecture, design standards, and governance frameworks
  • Drive process optimization and system enhancements to support scalability and business growth

 

 

Skills for Success

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO and financial systems (based on provided JD content)
  • Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA, particularly in modules such as AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets, Project Systems, and Credit Management
  • Experience in SAP BPC and exposure to non-SAP financial systems (e.g., Treasury or EPM tools)
  • Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, preferably within consulting or large-scale environments
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and system integration
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
  • Solid project management capabilities with experience delivering complex initiatives
  • Experience managing vendors or AMS teams is an advantage

 

Good to Have

 

  • Experience in treasury systems or EPM tools (e.g., CCH Tagetik)
  • Exposure to Invoice NOW/PEPPOL or tax/legal compliance solutions
  • Experience in large-scale transformation or system enhancement initiatives
