Staff Solution Architect

We are seeking a Staff Solution Architect to join our Software and Infrastructure team within the Enterprise Platforms product group. In this strategic role, you will lead the architecture, design, and deployment of enterprise-grade private cloud and edge cloud platforms, including Telco Edge Cloud and GPU Private Cloud services.

You will shape end-to-end solution blueprints, define integration and deployment patterns, and enable secure, scalable, and highly available customer workload onboarding across Singtel’s edge and cloud ecosystems. This role requires strong architectural leadership, deep technical expertise, and the ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into practical, production-ready designs.

You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, business, and enterprise architecture teams, as well as customers and partners, to support Singtel’s next-generation enterprise cloud offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of private cloud, telco edge cloud, and GPU-enabled platforms.
• Define solution architectures for enterprise customer applications and workloads, including trial and pilot deployments of 5G-enabled applications on private cloud environments.
• Apply security-by-design, resilience, and high availability principles across all solution architectures.
• Co-design and develop solutions with enterprise customers and partners, supporting customer trials, proof-of-concepts, and internal R&D initiatives.
• Select and evaluate technology components across the infrastructure stack, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and roadmap objectives.
• Design and guide the deployment of SaaS and PaaS workloads on private cloud platforms.
• Promote adoption of the telco edge cloud and private cloud platforms across Singtel business units and group companies, and lead solution designs that effectively leverage these platforms.
• Engage with customers and implementation partners to understand requirements and feedback, contributing to product improvements and roadmap planning.
• Participate in technical partnership discussions, due diligence, and hands-on technical evaluations of partner technologies.

Skills for success:

Virtualisation & Cloud Platforms

• Experience with enterprise hypervisors such as VMware ESXi, OpenStack, KVM, Nutanix, or equivalent technologies

Networking & Security

• Knowledge of enterprise networking concepts including BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, and L2/L3 networking
• Experience with switches and firewalls such as Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, NVIDIA, or similar platforms
• Understanding of micro-segmentation, network security, and fault-tolerant design

Infrastructure & Systems

• Experience with rack-mounted, blade, and GPU-enabled servers
• Knowledge of filesystems and storage technologies such as NFS, parallel file systems, or equivalent
• Strong Linux operating system knowledge

Containers & Automation

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or similar tools

Public Cloud

• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or comparable hyperscale cloud providers

Experience & Competencies

• Proven experience architecting, designing, and delivering complex, enterprise-grade private cloud or hybrid cloud platforms
• Strong systems-level thinking, with the ability to translate architectural strategy into phased, minimum viable solutions
• Deep understanding of cloud platform architectural principles, including SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy, infrastructure as code, and continuous availability
• Experience working in agile or iterative delivery environments
• Exposure to software development practices is an advantage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
