About the Role

The role is part of the Retail Sales department which is responsible for setting the strategic direction, development and growth of our retail and partnership channels. We ensure that the amaysim product portfolio is optimised by account and that we leverage amaysim’s unique brand proposition of ‘be the courageous customer champion’.  Through our retail field operations team, we maximise our sales objectives by ensuring compliance to our contracts and agreements, educating our retail partners, managing inventory, and ultimately ensuring competitive advantage and profitability.  The State Sales Representative will work closely with the National Field Sales Manager in all areas of channel management to drive the best possible opportunity for the channel to deliver GA (General Activation) targets. This position is also required to manage a dedicated territory of retailers to ensure increased productivity and excellence in execution and service. We are looking for a commercially minded, result oriented sales professional with proven success in retail sales, and strong negotiation skills. Prior experience in the telco market will be highly regarded, but our key focus is a successful, self-starting, proactive sales professional.

 

The key responsibilities of the role include: 

  • Develop and implement state plans outlining strategic objectives for the channel, in consultation with the National Field Manager
  • Source new customers to drive incremental sales via various methods such as cold calling and instore visits
  • Develop and execute pre-planned monthly call cycles
  • Drive growth in existing customers through creative tactics, activities, and promotional events
  • Ensure efficient stock management, in-store execution, training on the amaysim products at store level
  • Regular reporting on field activities and competitor intelligence

 

About You

We are looking for the following skills, experience and attributes

  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation and effective listening skills
  • Excellent organisational skills, stakeholder and relationship management, attention to detail and customer service skills
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft suite of products (Excel & PowerPoint)
  • 1-2 years’ experience in sales role
  • Self-managed and demonstrated ability to work autonomously and be a positive, enthusiastic member of a small team
  • Have a valid driver’s licence

 

Location & Travel 

  • This role is out in field visiting stores 5 days a week, remote working from home.
  • Areas covered will be throughout Metro and Regional NSW (Sydney, Gosford, Orange Mudgee, Bathurst, Newcastle etc)  
  • A Motor Vehicle allowance is included
  • Inter state travel required for conferences and events
