At amaysim, it’s not just the customers that get all the Big Love – we make sure our people feel it too! Our people are the staple of our culture and everything we do is driven by our four key values, with empathy at the heart of it all. We work hard and have fun in the process, always looking for new ways to innovate and encourage whilst remaining true to our roots.
The Web & App UX Designer is responsible for building, delivering, and continuously refining amaysim’s customer experience across our website and mobile app. This hands-on role centers on UX composition, journey optimisation, and practical implementation across digital platforms.
Sitting within the Marketing & CX team, this role partners closely with Product, Technology, CVM, CX, and Coordinated Marketing to bring customer-first experiences to life. The role combines strong UX craft with execution capability, from designing intuitive experiences to getting hands-on updating the platform and supporting delivery.
The Web & App UX Designer will oversee UX guidelines across web and app, contribute to digital releases, and lead continuous refinement of key customer journeys. Flutter experience is desirable, as our web and app platforms are developed and maintained using Flutter.
What you’ll do
- Own the UX build and experience across amaysim’s website and mobile app, ensuring intuitive, consistent, and customer-first experiences across all touchpoints.
- Build wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UX solutions for web and app; contribute directly to implementation by updating and improving live digital experiences.
- Map, analyse, and optimise essential customer journeys from acquisition to onboarding, servicing, and retention, boosting usability, conversion, and customer happiness.
- Work hands-on within our web and app platforms to support updates, improvements, and releases. Flutter experience is desirable given our shared web and app architecture.
- Support the digital delivery of new products and features by working closely with Product, CVM, Marketing, and Technology to ensure seamless execution.
- Define and maintain UX development principles, patterns, and accessibility standards across web and app, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Work alongside analytics and marketing departments to aid in A/B testing, experimentation, and steady advancement across digital journeys.
- Collaborate daily with Product, Technology, CVM, and Coordinated Marketing teams to align UX outcomes with business priorities and delivery timelines.
- Partner with digital agencies and external collaborators as necessary, offering UX insights and making sure work adheres to amaysim standards.
What you’ll Bring
- 7+ years’ experience in UX development across both web and mobile app environments, with a strong portfolio demonstrating customer-centered design outcomes.
- Proven ability to get hands-on updating and advancing digital platforms, not just developing concepts.
- Experience working across shared web and app platforms; familiarity with Flutter is preferred.
- Strong capability in journey mapping, usability testing, and experience optimisation across end-to-end customer journeys.
- Ability to collaborate efficiently with Product, Technology, Marketing, and external partners to achieve results.
- Comfortable using data, insights, and testing to inform UX decisions and improvements.
- Adaptable, delivery-focused, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
- Committed to amaysim’s values of empathy, simplicity, agility, and reliability.
- Demonstrated success in driving measurable digital growth, with strong commercial judgment and results orientation.
