Associate Director, Transformation Delivery

As the Associate Director, Transformation Delivery, you will play a pivotal role in managing delivery workstreams within the IT Transformation program, ensuring flawless execution across project scope, schedule, budget, and quality parameters. You will work closely with stream leads, technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendor partners to ensure deliverables align with the program’s coordinated delivery plan.

What You’ll Do | Your day to day will consist of 

• Own the project plan, sprint cadence, and achievement tracking for assigned workstream(s), maintaining accurate delivery artefacts in Jira and program repositories. 

• Lead stand-ups, planning cycles, and workstream governance ceremonies following Optus Delivery Methodology (ODM) standards. 

• Manage scope, schedule, and budget for the workstream — including change control processes and baseline management. 

• Maintain the workstream RAIDC log; bring up risks, issues, and blockers to the Program Delivery Director with context and recommended resolution paths. 

• Coordinate onshore and offshore delivery teams — managing workload allocation, velocity tracking, and cross-stream dependencies. 

• Produce weekly RAG status updates and contribute to program-level SteerCo and governance reporting packs. 

• Coordinate release readiness submissions, and launch readiness activities for workstream releases. 

• Liaise with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Test Leads, and Technical Release Engineers to ensure delivery activities are aligned and sequenced. 

• Ensure all artefacts (project plans, RACI, decision logs, meeting minutes) are maintained to Optus Delivery standards and accessible in shared repositories. 

What You Bring | What makes you perfect for the role? 

• 7+ years' experience in project or delivery management within IT or technology transformation environments. 

• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary delivery workstreams within large programs, including coordinating offshore and vendor teams. 

• Strong Jira and Jira Align proficiency — including board management, sprint planning, Amazing/Story tracking, and dependency mapping. 

• Proficiency in RAIDC management, collaborator communication, workstream status reporting, and change control. 

• Strong written communication and ability to produce clear, concise status updates for senior program leadership. 

• Telecommunications industry experience and familiarity with BSS/OSS delivery or platform migration programs is essential.
