As we continue to modernise our technology landscape and accelerate digital transformation, we're looking for an experienced Associate Director, Program Lead to drive the successful delivery of critical OSS and Service Fulfilment initiatives across the business. 

 

What You'll Do

Partnering closely with senior technology leaders, business stakeholders, architecture teams, and delivery partners across Optus, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the strategic delivery, transformation, and modernisation of Optus' Service Fulfilment portfolio across Consumer, Enterprise, and Wholesale domains.
  • Establishing and maintaining integrated portfolio plans across large-scale programs, platform enhancements, lifecycle activities, and operational commitments.
  • Driving delivery excellence through strong governance, milestone assurance, dependency management, RAID oversight, and executive reporting.
  • Applying deep understanding of end-to-end service fulfilment processes, including order management, service orchestration, provisioning, activation, inventory management, and operational handover.
  • Aligning business, technology, architecture, and delivery stakeholders around priorities, risks, trade-offs, and execution commitments.
  • Leading cross-functional delivery teams, development teams, and strategic partners to ensure high-quality delivery outcomes and operational readiness.
  • Embedding contemporary delivery methodologies across waterfall, agile, hybrid, and scaled delivery environments.
  • Leveraging AI-enabled delivery practices to improve planning quality, risk management, reporting efficiency, and delivery predictability.
  • Managing vendor and partner performance, ensuring commercial obligations and delivery commitments are successfully achieved.
  • Driving continuous improvement across governance, delivery confidence, stakeholder engagement, and business value realisation. 

 

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years' experience leading complex technology programs, large-scale transformations, or enterprise delivery portfolios.
  • Strong experience in telecommunications, OSS platforms, service fulfilment, enterprise technology, software delivery, or system integration environments.
  • Proven ability to lead major programs involving multiple workstreams, technical dependencies, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
  • Expertise in program governance, integrated planning, schedule management, risk and dependency management, and benefits realisation.
  • Strong understanding of agile, waterfall, hybrid, and scaled delivery methodologies.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex delivery issues into clear business decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-performing teams and influencing outcomes across matrix organisations.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools and modern delivery practices to improve productivity and execution outcomes.
  • Relevant qualifications in Technology, Engineering, Telecommunications, Business, or Project Management preferred.
