Every day, millions of Australians connect, work, stream, and stay in touch on the Optus network. When it works seamlessly, it’s easy to take for granted. But behind it is a team making thousands of decisions every day - decisions that keep people, businesses and communities connected.
Right now, Optus is focused on getting the fundamentals right - simplifying how we work, lifting standards, and building a more reliable, resilient experience for our customers.
The Commercial Contract Manager (CCM) is a senior role within Optus Business responsible for optimising the commercial and contractual performance of strategic Tier 1 customer contracts. Working closely with Account Directors and Customer Delivery Directors, the CCM leads complex contract negotiations, commercial discussions, and dispute resolution activities to deliver favourable outcomes for Optus.
The role manages high-value, complex ICT contracts, supports major bids and contract changes, and ensures compliance with commercial, legal, risk, and governance requirements. As a recognised subject matter expert, the CCM provides strategic contract and commercial management expertise to drive customer and business success while ensuring adherence to Group policies, regulatory obligations, and applicable laws.
Here, you’ll take on meaningful challenges, build strong partnerships, and have a direct impact on how we show up for customers.
If you’re looking to do work that matters - and help shape what comes next - this is your opportunity to be part of it.

- Monitor contract performance, obligations, deliverables, risks, and change controls, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance throughout the contract term.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks while maximising commercial value, managing supplier relationships, and supporting achievement of business case targets.
What You Bring
