Every day, millions of Australians connect, work, stream, and stay in touch on the Optus network. When it works seamlessly, it’s easy to take for granted. But behind it is a team making thousands of decisions every day - decisions that keep people, businesses and communities connected.
Right now, Optus is focused on getting the fundamentals right - simplifying how we work, lifting standards, and building a more reliable, resilient experience for our customers.
It’s not about surface-level change. It’s about how we make decisions, how we work together, and how we deliver.
As the Senior Director, Internal Audit, you will lead the delivery of forward-looking, risk-based assurance across a major Optus business portfolio, partnering with Executives and senior leaders to provide independent insight on governance, risk management and internal controls. You will shape portfolio audit strategy, identify emerging and systemic risks, and ensure assurance activity remains aligned to business priorities, customer outcomes, regulatory obligations and transformation initiatives. Acting as a trusted adviser while maintaining audit independence, you will translate complex business, technology and operational risks into meaningful insights that support stronger decision-making, resilience and sustainable business performance.
